Building Department Lead

Crown Technical Systems is a rapidly expanding company in the ever growing electrical power industry. Our main facility is located in Fontana, CA; we have a branch office in Toronto Canada with plans for a second facility in Texas. We are a leader in the design and manufacturing of arc-resistant and non-arc, medium voltage metal clad switchgear, control buildings and enclosures, protective relay panels and more.   • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • REQUIREMENTS

    Will include, but not be limited to:


    Department and Personal Management

    - Responsible for motivating, training, rewarding and disciplining of personnel.

    - Train all new hires and ensure training is completed.

    - Safety: responsible for safety of department and safety trainings.


    Project Planning

    - Assist in reviewing and approving quality of work on all stages.

    - Research and order specialty/consumable material to complete projects.

    - Assign personnel to projects based on work load and capabilities.

    - Ensure that all personnel is always working in a safe manner.

    - Assist in ensuring milestone dates and delivery dates are met working with Building Department Manager.

    - Assist in Coordinate between departments.


    Areas of Improvement

    - Recommend improvements to increase production and efficiency of department.

    - Recommend assembly equipment or tools to increase production rate.


    1st Shift Hours:

    Monday through Friday: 6:00am - 2:45pm

    Some Off Site Work Required

    (Subject to change at company’s discretion)

· A minimum of 2-3 years previous lead experience in a shop type environment for 5 plus employees.

· Must have basic knowledge of standard hardware and electrical components.

· Experience in manufacturing or sheet metal is a major plus.

· Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

· Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude.

· Able to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.

· Good written and oral communication skills required.

· Ability to juggle many projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must.

· Ability to read blueprint drawings.

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

· Clean driving record a plus.
