Business Development Manager

Crown Technical Systems is a rapidly expanding company in the ever growing electrical power industry. Our main facility is located in Fontana, CA; we have a branch office in Toronto Canada with plans for a second facility in Texas. We are a leader in the design and manufacturing of arc-resistant and non-arc, medium voltage metal clad switchgear, control buildings and enclosures, protective relay panels and more.   • RESPONSIBILITES
  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Will include, but not be limited to:

    • Develop Sales leads and Marketing plans to allow Crown Technical Systems to actively participate in the US and Canadian market on the three major product lines offered by it.

    • Management of Sales and marketing group with offices in Fontana, Dallas and Toronto

    • Manage territory for Crown’s marketing group and outside representatives as well as the commission structure.

    • Develop short term and long term sales and marketing goals

    • Increase market share and provide market intelligence to management.

    • Develop promotional literature, campaigns and use the internet for mass and targeted outreach.

    • Strengthen relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs, meetings and presentations

    • Plan company presence at conventions, trade associations, etc. and assure customer presence

    • Provide guidance to company by determining emerging trends in renewables, battery storage, etc

    • Maintain and improve marketing research database.



    Salary plus commission

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 7+ year’s Sales and Marketing experience. Engineering background preferred.

• Must be able to authoritatively speak to customers about Crown’s products and services

• Wide knowledge of the US Utility market with emphasis on substation equipment

• Must be able to do presentations to customers on topics such as switchgear, control buildings and protective relaying.

• Experience with Canadian Utilities is a PLUS

• Personable, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills required.

• Must have experience managing marketing and sales group as well as managing outside representative.

• Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.

• Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

• Handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

    • Majority of the time the employee has to work on computer.

    • Travel is an integral part of the job requirement. Employee must be willing to travel whenever needed by management


    Successful candidate will have:

    • Business degree with emphasis in Sales and Marketing

    • An engineering degree/diploma would be an asset

    • 3+ year’s Sales and Marketing experience

    • Experience with Public Utilities is an asset

    • Personable, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills required

    • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
