  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

QA Analyst reports to the QMS Manager and is responsible for all on-going activities related to the maintenance of and adherence to systems, processes, policies and procedures for all quality assurance activities related to the QMS program.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will include, but not be limited to:


• Monitors records for compliance with regulatory, statutory, and contracting requirements and standards.

• Participates in the internal audit processes, which ensures that all documentation and processes are maintained.

• Responsible for corrective action entry and issuance into the internal database system and performing follow-up activities.

• Performs maintenance activities for all QMS documentation.

• Orient all new staff to the QA procedures and processes.

    • A responsive, positive, detailed oriented person with strong

    problem-solving and organizational skills required for this position.

    • Must be able to meet deadlines and to enter information quickly and accurately.

    • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and have good oral and written communication skills. This candidate must demonstrate a practical awareness of ISO 9001 requirements and its implementation.

    • AS degree or 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree preferred.

    • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office with focus on EXCEL) and database use/management.

    • Experience performing internal audits.

    • Experience performing quality assurance functions of document control.

    • Must have previous experience with an ISO-9001 System.

  • A minimum of 5 years previous managerial experience in a shop type environment.
  • Strong mechanical electrical aptitude.
  • Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, project management).
  • Demonstrated record of self-motivation and being able to work in a team environment that is fast-paced.
  • Experience with ISO-9001 Quality Systems is a plus.
  • In-Depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and systems.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral written).
  • B.S. in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams and encourage cultural change.
