The Position

  • Location

    Fontana, California USA

Responsibilities

  • Plans and schedules workflow for department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Prepares production reports as deemed.
  • Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of parts, material, machines and equipment.
  • Tracks material shortages and prepares a material shortage report.
  • Tracks procurement and production performance.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with various departments to resolve material and capacity constraints.
  • Notifies Production Manager or Director of Operations of any issues and overdue material that may jeopardize on-time deliveries to customers.
  • Being innovative, flexible and willing to research new procedures, equipment and process improvements as we grow our operation.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by Management.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years previous experience in a production planning/material control environment.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Switchgear, Relay Panel, or Control Building manufacturing is a major plus.
  • Ability to function under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with ERP system or scheduling software a plus.
  • Able to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to juggle many projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with ISO-9001 Quality Systems is a plus.
