On friday August 27th 2010, Crown Technical Systems hosted our first open house event, celebrating the move and expansion into our new facility located in Fontana California. The Crown Team put together this event in order to honor our management and staff as well as our customers whose loyalty and patience is what made the move possible.
Just before noon around a dozen vendors began to arrive to setup their equipment in the trade exposition space set aside for these vendors to show their products and services. The turn out included a Test Switch manufacturer as well as several national and regional electrical equipment suppliers and distributors. As part of the activities included at the event was a raffle that each of these vendors provided a prize.
At lunch time our guests rolled in gathering name tags and passing out business cards to colleagues and clients. Our Human Resources Manager was acting Master of Ceremonies and introduced the Crown Team and lunch and refreshments were served. Music played in the background while guests interacted in an activity area that included several games like “Guess the Number of Wire Harness Lugs in the Jar” and single line diagram puzzles were assembled.
A tour of the facility went off every thirty minutes which covered the entire fabrication shop area and panel and building production floor. Attendees had the chance to see our expansive property inside and out. The tour headed through a Traction Power Supply Substation in its final phase of production highlighting our assembly teams’ quality of craftsmanship. Tour goers had the opportunity to ask questions of our production leads and crew about anything pertaining to what they witnessed along the way. The final phase of the tour passed through our relay panel department where our Quality Assurance Team provided insight into how our products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
In between food and tours and industry chatter, raffle prizes were announced and claimed and networking flowed. Our MC introduced Crown’s Founder and President who thanked everyone attending and working the event.
Crown is excited to enter the new year with our new facility and are up to the challenges that go with the territory.
