Customer Account Manager

Crown Technical Systems is a rapidly expanding company in the ever growing electrical power industry. Our main facility is located in Fontana, CA; we have a branch office in Toronto Canada with plans for a second facility in Texas. We are a leader in the design and manufacturing of arc-resistant and non-arc, medium voltage metal clad switchgear, control buildings and enclosures, protective relay panels and more.   • RESPONSIBILITES
  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

    The customer account manager (CAM) role includes, but is not limited to helping the company in retaining its customers. He/she acts as the mouthpiece of the company to always keep the client happy, be responsive to our customer needs.


    Will include, but not be limited to:

    • Required to provide general relationship management, technical assistance, up selling, and customer support to customers.

    • Required to work closely with the business development specialists, estimating team and related support groups.

    • Customer account managers need to have outgoing and positive attitude to enable them interface with our customer and perform tasks based on customer needs.

    • Will be required to develop inputs for our estimating team from materials and conversations with our business development specialist and our customers.

    • Will be expected to monitor progress of quotes for our customers.

    • Will be required to interface with customers to provide clarity on questions from our estimating team during the quoting cycle.

    • Monitor the business development (BD) email account and process orders, bid request, addendums, questions etc.

    • Will be required to input and maintain data in our CRM (SUGAR) system

    • During the Project kick-off meetings, update and inform the production team and management about project requirements and customer expectations.

    • Strictly comply with the procedures and systems already outlined in Crown Technical Systems QMS manual.

    • Offer pricing strategies, competitor analyses, and market assessments when the opportunity presents itself.

• College level education in Business or Technical Field is a Plus

• 2 – 5 years of experience in sales support / customer services position

• Experience in a company that produced products for substations in the utilities market is a plus

• Ability to read a “single line” diagram for substation control houses in a huge plus

• Excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written format

• Strong organizational skills

• Winning sales attitude, and top level persuasive ability to improve on company’s sales

• Excellent interpersonal relationship

• Ability to easily identify what clients want, needs and able to meet their expectations

• Ability to solve problems using available resources

• Willingness to work as team member
